This September, the spotlight of the golf world will shine on Elephant Butte as Turtleback Mountain Golf & Resort hosts the 2025 New Mexico Open. From September 14\u201317, the championship will welcome 156 professionals to Southern New Mexico, including one of the state\u2019s most celebrated professional golfers, Notah Begay III.<\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n

Few names in golf carry the connection to New Mexico that Notah Begay does. An Albuquerque native, four-time PGA Tour winner, and former New Mexico Open Champion, Begay has inspired generations of professional golfers as both a competitor and a respected analyst for NBC Sports and Golf Channel. Now, he\u2019s returning to the very stage where his career first took root.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
